Sage Patanjali captures the essence of yoga in the second verse of the Yoga Sutras: "Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodhah."
Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind. Turning the focus inward in the spirit of self inquiry helps us regain the center and access the inner voice that is often lost in the noisy world.
The journey of yoga is toward the stillness within - to understand who we really are. In that context, Yoga is a sanctuary of the twenty-first century.
Classic Yoga is the blend of the best of what I have learned over years. My classes are taught in a traditional context in keeping with the deeper aims and meaning of the practice. They are physically challenging yet spiritually uplifting. The focus is to provide each person with a solid foundation based on a best effort, full awareness, and non-judgmental attitude.
The intention is to allow the essence of yoga to shine through and to maintain the smile on your face.
